3D PrintForce v2 Coming Soon

Feb 12, 2026

I know it's been a while since you've heard from me. It's been 8 months since our last update and I owe you an explanation of what's been happening!

They say if you're not embarrassed by your first software product you put out, you did it wrong. Well, I can confidently say I am embarrassed.

The early version of 3D Print Force was built with the best intentions, but as more of you started using it and sharing feedback, it became clear that we had lost focus. We built some features that sounded great but that no one asked for. When what we should have been doing was making sure the tools you where using was the best they could be.

So that's what we've been working on. Though we haven't been sending email updates, things have been happening in the background. We're nearing completion of a complete 3D PrintForce redesign, and I'm really excited to share what's coming.

What's Staying?

The core tools you rely on aren't going anywhere—just getting better:

Model calculations are now lighting fast, make change see your profit, just how it should be.

Adding filaments have never been easier. Thanks to the the Open Filament Database project you can now bulk add your filament. Chose from 13,510 unique filaments from 125 different brands.

Sliced file upload for adding models. Models require a lot data inputs but they are needed to have accurate calculations. We get it though, no one wants to manually do that for 10, 50, 100+ models. You can now upload your sliced .3mf file and 3D PrintForce pulls out all the information it can.

What's Leaving (For Now)?

Not everything made the cut. Some features were adding complexity without adding real value:

No more adding Etsy listings. We rushed this and to be honest it was easier to just make you listings on Etsy. So that is what we are going with now.

Maintenance log is going away. Again it was rushed and didn't have a cohesive plan. Right now the plan is to merge this idea with a preventative maintenance schedule for your printers. More to come on this.

If any of these were critical to your workflow, I want to hear from you. Seriously. Reply to this email and let me know.

What's Coming Soon?

More integrations!

We are working with multiple printer automation companies to connect with 3D PrintForce. This will allow you to start the prints needed for each of your orders right from 3D PrintForce.

The goal is simple: give you the best experience possible and focus on the tools you actually need to run a profitable 3D printing business.

I'll have more updates to share soon as we get closer to launch. Thank you for sticking with us through this transition.

3D PrintForce is bootstrapped indie software.

I am trying to wear all the hats around here. There's no customer success team or board of directors: just me, working on a project I strongly believe in. Email asking for help onboarding? You'll get a response from me. Have a bug report or a feature request? You'll get a response from me. You talk to a human, not a robot.

I run my own 3D print farm and built 3D PrintForce because I needed it myself. Every feature comes from real experience managing orders, tracking costs, and trying to figure out which products are actually profitable. If you have ideas or feedback, I'd love to hear from you.
